Published in 1829; Oxford, at the Clarendon Press. Blindstamped front and rear boards. Tooled leather detail . Hubbed spine with gold gilt leafing. Leather is worn from use. All edges gilt. Beautiful marbled endpapers. Small bookplate on pasted front endpaper. Front and rear hinges are cracked. Inscription and bible verses/prayers on fly leaves. Gifted to Frances Elizabeth Munton from her husband February, 1837. In addition to the Psalter, includes The Thanksgiving of Women after Child-birth, Gunpowder Treason, Forms of Prayer to be Used at Sea, and many other useful and interesting prayers. Pages B5 to C1 are tattered and torn along the seam (only affects a couple of words). Pages are otherwise crisp and clean. Shelf-cocked. A study little volume!
