Conceived in 1926 by Edward Stratemeyer, The Hardy Boys series was written by ghostwriters under the pseudonym Franklin W. Dixon and published by Grosset & Dunlap. 58 titles were published by Grosset & Dunlap between 1927 and 1979, with many of the earlier titles revised in the late fifties through the early seventies. This set includes:
