Published in 1924 by Houghton Mifflin Company of Boston and New York. 286 pp. Duct Jacket art by George Giguere. Bardelys the Magnificent was also a 1926 American silent romantic film directed by King Vidor and starring John Gilbert and Eleanor Boardman. It was the second film of the 19-year-old John Wayne, who had a minor role.

Interestingly, dust jacket bears Grosset & Dunlap Publishers name. Dust jacket is tattered. Black cloth boards with red lettering on front cover and spine. Corners are bumped. Two small holes in rear joint. Marginalia on FFEP. FFEP and fly title leaf are stuck together along hinge. Pages 39-50 are creased. Stain on Page 240. Shelf cocked. Binding is tight. Pages otherwise crisp and clean.
